I live in Peckham Rye but so many different names can be used for the same roads. I like Peckham Rye though :)

Forget the postcode snobbery (inverted or not). It's a very nice road with smart houses. Had a relative live there for a little while a couple of years back and they were very happy there and very sad when they had to move. You've got very good links via East Dulwich & Peckham. Plus you've got a smashing pub around the corner on Ivanhoe Road called Hoopers.

I live on Copleston and can recommend it. Doesn't matter a jot what the are is called, the street is nice, and yes the one way system is a bit of a pain, if you're on the ED Station side of Avondale raise. Parking is only a problem due to lazy t**t$ who'll take up 2 spaces as they can't be arsed to park properly, but on the whole you can usually get outside your house. Everything is local ED Station a 1-7 min walk, depends which end you live,

Also as Jah Says, there's the very good, but totally underused pub, Hoopers, not 5 mins away.
