REUNITED!: Found, golden retriever girl puppy approximately 5 months old in Peckham Rye Park

Recommended Posts

She has been reunited with her owner!

We found a lovely puppy in Peckham Rye Park this morning around 9.30 am. Owner could not be located so I have taken her to The Neighbourhood Vets on Lordship Lane who are looking after her. She's chipped but there are no contact details, other than the breeder, so please call them on 020 8299 2388 if you know someone who's lost their dog.

There?s a similar aged puppy that lives down the road from us on Upland road. I know as she escaped from her house once whenworkmen were there and we found her running up the road. I wonder if it could be the same?
I?ve just spoken with my dad who was walking his dog yesterday and was stopped by a guy on a bike who said a woman had lost her golden retriever puppy - he thinks it was called Maggie or Maddy so someone must be missing her.

    • DKH was two form entry, it is now one form entry to cope with the fact it was far more under subscribed than other schools in the area. They had actually combined year groups into single classes, 3/4 and 5/6.  When a school changes name, it’s usually because of a bad reputation perhaps the results.  The new name is dry with no history unlike its current name. It’s a very sketchy decision. It’s an expensive vanity project for someone.  What  will happen if the name change does not increase applications to the school?
    • @first mate I assume Alice made a mistake, as she removed her reaction.  I was wondering about park wardens. As I said, there was one there last night, who was incredibly helpful and proactive. As well as bringing me to the police, he caught up with a young guy on a bike who'd earlier been the victim of an attempted theft by these kids and linked him up with the police too. But I do wonder, as I've only very occasionally seen him riding around, how many they have and what hours they patrol. I've no doubt they'd be a strong deterrent if they had a better presence. They were nowhere to be seen the first time around.  Update: I've just found this: https://services.southwark.gov.uk/community-safety/community-wardens The guy in the photo at the bottom of the page was the lovely warden of last night and I've just now remembered him telling me he's based in Burgess Park. Anyway, there needs to be more of them, as I rarely see one in Peckham.
    • Some of us oldies would associate Grove with the old Grove Vale School (which I went to in the 1950s)
