Sally Eva
This is a circular ride to Look Mum No Hands, in Old Street in the City. Nine miles and flat all the time. It starts at 10am from Peckham Square which is the space between Peckham Library and Peckham Pulse (SE15 5JR). Returns at 12 more or less on the dot. The aim is to go fairly slowly through mostly quiet streets and through parks to Look Mum No Hands, the original Cycle Cafe Bar and workshop in the City and a popular destination for a ride https://www.lookmumnohands.com/locations/old-street. They started in 2007 serving coffee, fixing bikes, and showing the Tour de France. They've seen the cycling population of London boom and cyclists always want coffee, cake and beer. Out of respect for this famous location the ride will stop for a coffee break. This flat route includes Burgess Park, Southwark Bridge and a stop at Guildhall. The leader will be Philippa and the total distance covered will be 9 miles. The route is here: These rides are organised by Bruce Lynn and friends on behalf of Southwark Cyclists and we are the borough branch of the London Cycling Campaign, campaigning for 40 years for safer cycling in London. Getting there, I suppose. Our website is here: https://southwarkcyclists.org.uk. Sally Eva
The guy leading the ride next week November 3rd will be a professional mechanic and he can check bikes before the ride -- so maybe get there a bit early if this seems a good idea for you Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/207688-sociable-cycle-ride-saturday-october-27th/#findComment-1288843 Share on other sites
