Buying a real xmas tree...

Tempted every year and I always chicken out because of needles dropping or 'will it last?' anxiety-what are people's tips for buying, how early, non drop-are they really? Cheers for the help

Buy next weekend or the weekend after, get a Nordman or Fraser Fir, saw an inch off the end and put it in a stand that holds plenty of water, and keep filling it up. It should get you through to New Year and still look OK. I got mine last year from Plantnation on Upland Road, and will be going there again this year.

I prefer the old kind - the ones that shed like porcupines with alopecia - just for the wonderful smell. Can't seem to get them now though.
