Blocked Drains

I can also highly recommend Dave from Down The Drain. Phoned him up late on the 23rd Dec about a blocked drain outside the house - he came out at 9am the next day (Xmas eve), on the dot. Blockage identified and drain cleared within half an hour, price as he quoted. Will definitely use him again.

yes we had a good service from Dave: I'd spent ages at the weekend trying to clear a blocked kitchen outlet, he couldn't come on the Sunday afternoon when i rang, but did answer the phone and came as agreed on Monday morning. he cleared it and charged ?45 which is not bad compared to others.

Just wanted to add another recommendation for Dave from Down the Drain.

We had a leaking soil pipe and after getting a handful of different quotes/suggestions on what needed to be done, Dave gave us a very sensible solution. He completed the job quickly and professionally - super impressed with the work and would highly recommend.

Another recommendation for Down the Drain.

I had an issue with a blocked standpipe which caused the washing machine to flood my kitchen and kitchen sink draining slow.

Dave arrived promptly and quickly cleared the issue. Sink has never emptied so fast and washing machine now draining without issue.

Will use service again if required.

    • I know people won’t have any sympathy but the SEND challenge was brought up when taxing parents who have opted for independent school to meet a child’s SEND needs. Funding crisis is getting worse and the VAT on Education pushed children out of independent schools, now their SEND needs are to be met by the state.
    • I completely agree with you - and last night was really terrible where I am. Between midnight and 1am was the worst, where it genuinely felt like a war zone. I had to run out of my house to try and stop a grown man setting them off in open space right by our front doors. In response he went to throw a half lit one at me and then seemed to think better of it. I am so sad at how bad the situation has got here and how selfish people are. Fireworks are bad for the environment and for pets and wildlife, as well as just being unnecessary noise for people too. I have sent an email today to Helen Hayes, which I have done previously on this issue. Would advise anyone to write to your MP to do the same, and to ask them to engage with the debates scheduled for 19 Jan.
    • And they started long before midnight!
    • First mate - I wondered if I was imagining things at 4.45 this morning . Apparently not .
