the 12 service has been so poor this week and the drivers are so eratic when they drive! TFL have been contacted! all week ive been waiting for ages on barry road at 6.30 AM for the 12 to come. at least 20 mins wait! and the 197 is a right off! even a turtle moves faster! oh and the travel fairs will probably increase again next month. yay!
With LL closed off from the Plough to CPR, all 5 routes are using Barry Road which means it is difficult in places for 2 buses to pass each other so traffic is building up. One advantage is that you can stop any of the routes as 176,185 and 40s will turn up ED Road after they go down Barry. Work expected to last 2 days,
My husband takes the 12 to central London from Peckham and says there are road works at Parliament so the 12 is either ending at Westminster Bridge/Parliament or trying to take the diversion around. He said when it took the diversion, it was just sat in traffic, not moving for 15 minutes. He has also mentioned that electronic outlets for this info are not updated to reflect this (i.e. google maps, waze, etc). Not sure how long the works will be, but if it's a huge delay there, it's bound to affect our area both coming and going.

TFL really should put notices on bus stops when a particular bus has temporarily changed its route and is not stopping there.

I only found out when I eventually used the Bus Countdown app on my phone to see when the next 12 was, and what came up was a long list of other buses but no 12s.

When I clicked on 12 specifically, I just got a blank page :(

I'd had a long long day trekking around Oxford Street and I really could have done without this at the end of it :(

I only went for the 12 in the first place to save me further trekking up to Tottenham Court Road to get the 176 (I avoid the underground wherever possible) but then I had to (and had to wait ages for that, as well, grrrr).

I took a 12 last week:it stopped at the stop just past the IWM and we were all told to get off. The bus we then got on stopped at St Thomas?s hospital, then went on diversion, got stuck in traffic but wouldn?t let us off . The next stop was Piccadilly. We were not warned about the diversion. I had got on the 12 at 10.45 and reached Trafalgar Square at 12.55!

    • He/she followed me and my friends quite a long way along the road so we worried they might be out of their catchment area. Quite dusty paws which also made me think perhaps they’d been roaming away from home for a few days. Took photos in case anyone is missing them! Very pretty, friendly long-haired black and white cat, leopard print collar, pink paw-print metal tag. They eventually stopped following us across the road from Mrs Robinson.
    • I took it to mean that he was going to present all sides of the argument (for want of a better term) rather than just giving his own opinion. I didn't take it to mean that he was calling "his own views" balanced.
    • I just did this survey. There are a number of problems with it. For example, in at least two questions you have an option "other, please specify" but there is no way to specify what the "other" is. Also, you have several questions where if you have nothing appropriate to answer, you get a statement "this is a required question", or words to that effect, so you have to put in something like "nothing" in order to move on. Can I suggest that this is likely to confuse people so they just give up half way through? Maybe you should test it out on a few people before going "live" with it?
    • I went to Brockwell Lido on a hot day last summer to do some lengths. It was busy.  I kept getting other people's hair, which was floating around the pool, tangled in my hands. It was gross. I'm not sure if that was unusual, or if it's always like that on a hot day.
