  1. My mum received a text from 306 Medical Centre on Sunday evening offering a vaccination from October 1st.
  2. More importantly, the northern side of Peckham Rye is in desperate need of resurfacing. There are potholes everywhere when I cycled to Nunhead last week.
  3. DKH Sainsbury's have changed the system for using self-checkouts. Instead of six checkouts for trollies by the far exit and loads of basket self-checkouts opposite Starbucks, they've now added a long row of trolley self-checkouts, removing a load of staffed checkouts in the process with six basket self-checkouts by the SmartShop tills. Staffed checkouts are now at the far end with no change to SmartShop card only tills.
  4. I appreciate the effort you've made to inform us Ted. Personally I can't see the works going ahead until Thames Water get their act together on Lordship Lane.
  5. Buses are still operating along my end of LL, so I think for today at least it's been cancelled. My local Cllr was waiting for confirmation from council officers this morning that the Barry Road resurfacing has been cancelled.
  6. They didn't even like the P4 when it was a minibus going down Court Lane in the 70s and early 80s. The P4 was rerouted away from Court Lane in 1990 along Dulwich Common and College Road which has let to the reliability problems the route has being stuck on the South Circular instead of serving residential streets for what it was designed for.
  7. Yes, I saw diversion signs as well, cars are being sent along East Dulwich Road, Peckham Rye and Barry Road which won't be helpful at all if either the LL repair isn't ready on Monday or the Barry Road resurfacing works go ahead.
  8. There are Road Ahead Closed signs at Goose Green and Dulwich Library. Cars are able to drive up to Townley Road with temporary traffic lights sending cars into Townley but not up LL.
  9. I've emailed my Dulwich Wood Cllr to see if the Barry Road works are still going ahead as this could lead to no buses at all between Dulwich Library and The Grove along LL. It doesn't affect the 363, P4 or P13 at the Wood Vale end of LL.
  10. It's completely closed. I saw workers trying to resolve the issue at 7pm tonight (Friday) while cycling. East Dulwich Road especially is taking the bulk of the traffic while some of the side streets near the roadworks are seeing more traffic than usual. I nearly got ran over by cars on Landcroft Road.
  11. There shouldn't be as the resurfacing works are at the top of Barry Road. I can see the diversion on Monday and Tuesday being the 176 and 185 diverted completely away from LL running along the whole of Peckham Rye, Forest Hill Road, Honor Oak Road to line of route in Forest Hill, the 197 starting from Dulwich Library, the 40 starting from Goose Green and the 12 from Peckham Rye/Nigel Road.
  12. Lime and (Human) Forest seem to be pushing riders onto their bundles which work out cheaper than PAYG. Lime's PAYG is £1+27p per minute, while Forest is 19p per min (free for the first 10 mins) and a £1 locking fee.
  13. If the buses aren't back along that stretch of LL by next week, I can see the P13 being even more overcrowded than usual during the school run as the only bus running to Harris Primary East Dulwich.
  14. And it's still the situation today. Because of Thames Water's actions, this will affect local businesses along the retail area.
  15. Routes 40, 176 and 185 are currently not serving Lordship Lane from Goose Green to Dulwich Library due to an unsafe road surface, which I suspect is where Thames Water have been digging up the road by Townley Road. Buses are on diversion via East Dulwich Road, Peckham Rye and Barry Road. This has been the situation all day today (Monday). Route P13 is still serving Lordship Lane between Goose Green and Whateley Road as normal.
  16. I think he travels through here, but their purpose is to promote the positives of LTNs. The problem with people like that is the same on social media, they're dismissive of anyone's legitimate fears. I've spoken to other LTN protesters in other parts of London and they're not all SUV gas guzzling Tories, some are from across the political spectrum who are just as concerned about the increased pollution and traffic on boundary roads.
  17. Not even Cllr Leeming can, then again he apparently lives in Peckham! Chicken and Mal don't even live in our area, they're cycle activists where their only interest is promoting LTNs and cycling and dismissing anyone who disagrees with them with textbook rhetoric.
  18. The fact you think I'm a Tory is hilarious. Now how about some discussion about the topic instead of using the same sardonic humour you and Mal usually provide.
  19. When does Mal take over the pro LTN shift on here?
  20. All I've seen since the three way traffic lights were introduced was the line dug extended into the road at LL. There's very little disruption if any on that stretch of LL, however that may change when the school run returns in September.
  21. Haven't they just admitted to themselves that the LTN isn't working then if they want even more parking restrictions? So much for the LTN magically making traffic and pollution disappear!
  22. It's all too easy to tar all cyclists as lycra clad, green loving, anti car activists who'll stop at nothing to remove the hated motor vehicle from roads to live in a cycle utopia where only cycles and cargo bikes are allowed on the road. The reality is that while there are some who are extreme in their viewpoint, others want to share the road with cars with sensible provision for bikes which may well included shared use for pavements, cycle lanes etc.
  23. While I agree that Brexit is an absolute shambles, the point CPR Dave is making is that those of us on the Remain side were too complacent over what people outside of our liberal bubble actually wanted in 2016. Bar the xenophobes who wanted it regardless of the consequences, there were a group of people who didn't like or understand the benefits of being part of the EU and couldn't see the benefits for themselves. Again, there are signs of that again with the current schemes. The LTN is perceived as an anti car, anti resident drive to raise money for a council that is so ideologically driven that the consequences for those who are affected by the scheme are brushed aside like those who had legitimate concerns about staying in the EU.
