I have never poured scorn on anyone on this Forum.

There are always people cleverer than me as I lose track of new technology.

Being now unemployed / retired I like to share what knowledge I have .

I have just offered my advice.

This might not always of been a solution to a problem.

But maintainance is always a sequence of proceedures to narrow down options to a final solution to a problem.

Maintainance was always the bug bear of telecoms companys because it did not produce a profit.

Contruction engingeers installing new systems made money/profit.

people do not like paying for things that should already be working..

so many things can be fixed by individuals for free with just a little help.

It does not cost anything to fix most problems, only a persons time.

Sometimes this time is invaluable and justified and I am not saying that these people

do not deserve what they charge.

It is like anything. If you need a builder or a plumber, then you have to pay.

But building , plumbing , electrical installation requires quallifications and

computer maintenance does not. so anyone can learn.

You have to be aware and adhere to many regulaitions reguarding

Water Pressure.

Water Feeds and flow Non return valves..

Drainage

Soil pipes.

Earth Bonding. Requires electrical qualification.

There are as many regs for plumbing as there are for electrical work.

Each water Authority seems to have there own rules.

    • It was indeed in the vicinity of DKH. I live on the ED estate and I could tell it must be close by because of the noise. When I left my house this morning I found the culprits litter still in the middle of the st. It looked like they had lit a whole box on fire in the middle of the road. My cat jumped out of her skin. I’ll try and report it on Southwark website same as I have had to with other illegal use this week. Any other ideas for what we can do with the photos? Maybe one of the Southwark councillors. It’s outrageous and dangerous behaviour.
    • Had another great meal there…. those that haven’t tried it, give it a go.. have a special lunch menu as well so you can get a flavour of the food.
    • If you "cotton on" and read the council announcement, it clearly states "The library will be closed from 17 November until late June or early July 2026."  https://www.southwark.gov.uk/2025/dulwich-library-closing-refurbishment
    • I’ve been seeing Lisa at goose green clinic for energy work for a year now.  Lisa is kind, caring and hugely supportive. She is wonderfully masterful and trained as a reiki master for 20 plus years. Alongside other energy work.  My time spent with her is like therapy. An emotional safe space for deep conversations and reflection followed by relaxing and energising healing work.  each experience I’ve had has been different, the end result remains the same. Feel lighter, almost euphoric and almost float home. Definitely an experience not to be missed.  https://www.goosegreenclinic.net/therapies/healing-energy-work/
