Vectorworks - where to get it for mac?

My son needs to learn the basics of Vectorworks - he's a recent graduate and can't afford the full priced version - does anyone know of cheap or free trial versions? It wouldn't have to be the newest one....

If he still has a student ID or knows someone who has, they do student subsidised versions usually around 20 - 30% of the full priced version
