Heating Your Water With Solar PV
pablogrande replied to lordshipmonkey's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
there's some interesting developments in dual use panels that have both electrical generation and then hot water underneath, from what I have seen this makes the electrical side more efficient as it draws heat away from the cells -

PCR Home Kit Results - Delay?
pablogrande replied to reggiepum's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Our son had a test this week as a schoolmate was tested positive, the test was mis-delivered and when we called to get another they said there were none available in the country to post and nowhere in the south east to get a walk in as they were all out too. She said they were overwhelmed by the amount of testing going on and it's as bad as January so I assume the labs are all on backlog. -
Where can I buy vegetable plants locally?
pablogrande replied to devin3's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Shannons are good but for variety but all local places seem to sell more established plants that can be a bit pricey I just had my first delivery of plugs from organicplants.co.uk really good mixtures and all looked extremely healthy on delivery -
How to securely store a bike outdoors?
pablogrande replied to nmh's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We are looking at this too, it's worth checking your insurance as a lot seem to only cover bikes in front of houses if they are locked into ground anchor and as Rocket says it seems that Asguard units seem to attract thieves as much as protect. I've decided to build something myself, the main thing is additional steel across that will be locked in place and solar lights that will be light up the inside really brightly whenever opened so hopefully this would at least slow anyone down. good luck -
you could email [email protected]

Singer/band wanted for upcoming wedding
pablogrande replied to JulieDP's topic in Request a Tradesperson
maybe contact the people at the Ivy House I know they've had bands in who do things like live band karaoke so must have a good range. I would think though you'd be best getting a band local to there? the costs for transport etc on top would bump up the price -

Mainly because you originally posted and then edited out that you hoped her son wouldn?t get it back, pretty spiteful talk. His mum already said it hit a wall and went out of control, nothing about flying without line of site. Kids stuck indoors, missing their mates, trying to have a bit of fun, could do without your mean spiritedness.

we did the Hoppers cook at home kit this weekend, was one of the best ones we have done. The banquet for 4 actually stretched to 2 meals for 3 people in the end, though I'd order extra rotis

Any polish families in East Dulwich?
pablogrande replied to ms9's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
There?s a nice little polish shop in Sydenham near the Lidl they usually have any seasonal celebration cakes etc Otherwise theres a lovely bigger one on the strip opposite sainsburys in Crystal Palace Wesołych Świąt! -
Hi Matty you may want to try http://www.ogniskopolskie.org.uk or there are a few Polish associations that may help specifically with wartime info, I am about to do the same for my mum as her dad came over after WW2 and she had a lot of difficulty tracing her family. Good luck !
