Help!

I'm at my wits end.. I bought a 5.1 cinema surround sound system to go with new flat screen, (TV: Samsung UE46D5520 LED HD 1080p TV, 46 Inch with Built-in Freeview HD, Surround System: Onkyo HTS3405) connected it all up, the surround unit has 4 HDMI sockets: HDMI1 (dedicated) from TV to the surround system, HDMI2 from DVD player to surround system, HDMI3 from Xbox 360 to surround system, Audio optical cable from TV output to surround system audio optical input. All fine and dandy and it worked beautifully..

Until the other night (and i'm embarrassed to say, alcohol is to blame for this..) I started tinkering with the settings and ended up losing the sound from the TV through the 5.1 speakers, (DVD sound still works fine though) The on air sound from the TV now only comes out of the TV speakers, try as i might, i've gone through the settings but can't seem to get it back through the 5.1. It might be something really obvious that i'm missing, in a 'can't see the wood for the trees' way. (still the festive alcohol probably!)

Thought i'd ask here before calling in an expert.. sigh.. more money. Surround Settings

Thanks, in anticipation.

    • End of a wonderful era. We’ve been going since it opened and even started contractions with my oldest (25 year old) son during a lovely New Year’s Eve lunch. Thank you Rod and Tim for some amazing memories.

If McCash really thought his defection could trash the Labour Party nationally, and it was loaded with invective and exhibitionism, then that's pretty much the definition of a "hissy fit"! Scooping the Green nomination for DaWN constituency is also going to be a lot harder for a Marxist arriviste than you suggest. There may be a wave of new, younger Polanski-ites that have joined the Green Party of E&W recently, but it's the long-standing, often retired members of the Party that tend to participate in candidate interview panels and bother voting in selections...
