Part Time Nanny Needed - East Dulwich

We have two children - 6 years old girl and a 3 years old boy. We live in East Dulwich (very close to the East Dulwich railway station).

Our daughter goes to a local school. Our son goes to a local nursery which is very close to our daughter's school. The school and nursery are walking distance from home.

We are looking for someone to help with pick-ups and drop-offs.

In the mornings the hours would be 7-8.45 am (getting the kids ready to school/nursery and giving them breakfast, then the drop-off).

Pick-ups would be from the school and nursery. Pick-ups from: Mondays and Thursdays at 3.20 pm, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 4.30 pm. Taking care of the kids at home until about 6.30 pm.

So in total 4 or 5 hours per day (depending on the day), 5 days a week (in total about 23 hours a week).

We can consider splitting these hours between 2 nannies if anyone is only interested in mornings or afternoons.

This work is available from the beginning of January.

    • Typically the way 'family run businesses' operate is either to have family members continue the business, or to sell on, either as a site (in this instance) or as a going concern. Either which way this is the way the owners create a 'pension' from the business. The number of suggestions as to alternatives makes me feel that the market for small repairing garages locally may be well served, so selling on the site makes the best financial sense for the owners. It's a sign not of the times but of normal business realities.
    • I agree it's a shame, but it is not a "sign of the times", unless you think that up to now people have never grown older and retired!
