New Nexus will copy and paste loads of moronic stuff from US websites that have zero interest or relevance in the UK simply because he thinks Americans are somehow impressive and clever and loads more fun. Like I did when I was 7 and watched the 'Red Hand Gang'.

Sorry, you?re wrong again,

Parts of MF Global was being run through London a bit like Bernard Madoff ponzi scheme.

The fact that you cannot see a connection between London and New York, shows how poorly informed you are.

Just for fun

No not all Americans are cool, when America implodes a lot of the world is going to be the ?collateral damage?

Some of the people running the U.S. have seriously lost it.

Please, go and have a juice box and calm down

Also if the US do invade Iran, which looks more and more likely, whose poodle do you think will be trotting behind the US? Cameron will drag us into another unholy alliance because of the moronic US-UK Relationship.

So if you are happy stuck in your enclave, Hugo, don't be surprised if those of us who might actually be affected by the Imperialist US illegal wars that they need to try to stave off their inevitable financial collapse, take an interest.

*yawn*

Best all sit around shitting ourselves and talking about Americans all the time then.

You could get together with New Nexus and have a chat? He's got loads of material he can copy and paste from American bulletin boards? Americans are much more interesting on these subjects.

I don't have anything against Americans - just lazy copy and pasting from US websites about US issues in an US legal or political system in an effort to look cool.

I liked the prediction that said there will be no C, X or Q, and that English will become a condensed language expressing condensed ideas - txt 2 spk!!!

It's interesting that you can see the American obsession with Russia even here - I guess that they'd only recently bought Alaska.

    • We are talking about Lambeth Council, not Southwark, but I agree. It will be interesting to see if Lambeth fill part of that space with another hire out to a private events company.  As to the idea that what is gained financially from hiring out Peckham Rye Park is a good trade off, does not account for long-term damage to the park and the loss of access to the community for a month at least, in the best summer months where trees and shrubs are in full bloom and animals are birthing or rearing youngsters. For the Council to claim they are 'green' when they allow this is hypocrisy at its finest.
    • Regarding Gala fees: https://services.southwark.gov.uk/assets/attach/280615/GALA-2024-and-one-stage-shows-stakeholder-consultation-findings-report.pdf‘ ‘’The decision to host large/major-scale commercial (ticketed) events in Southwark was taken in 2017, deemed necessary in order to raise enough revenue to offset the running costs of the Events service, which supports the delivery of 50+ outdoor community events per year, and in order to continue to fund a range of high quality, free events across Southwark through the Cultural Celebrations Fund grants programme.’’
    • Sorry, not having a dig at Southwark for that.   I'm just shocked that next door they've chosen to abandon such an institutional community / family event so they can keep pumping out commercial stuff instead.   I suppose the same could happen here next although we don't really have any longstanding family events like that one.
    • No doubt the schools in Harrogate are being discussed on the East Harrogate Forum or whatever. Dulwich College is being discussed because it's local. Saying "ooh, there were loads of schools mentioned" is a bit dismissive. It was Dulwich College that referred sex abuse allegations about pupils to the police and Dulwich College that used the spectre of the police to suppress dissent. 🤔
