I hate to say it (as its not a local business) but Uber works very well getting to and from all London airports now. No pre booking but each time I land there's been one at pick up area in under 5 mins. Yesterday's fare from SE22 to Heathrow T5 was just 42 quid...and it was a new hybrid limo!

I agree with the OP though....but London generally not just East Dulwich or areas like it. Wages need to rise again.

I'm getting too much from our cleaners. They are lovely young Brazilian women but pad around our house (a family home) in hot pants and revealing vests. All this for ?11 per hour when i'd much rather pay less and see less. Also for some reason I'm not allowed to work from home on Wednesday's anymore.

My house is feeling crushed and devalued... Nice little line in 1970's / 80's refurbs going on at the moment though. It shows what a decent architect can do to just about any property.

It's just the 98% of the local population who love having a new cinema getting annoyed with the 2% minority who seem to enjoy kicking off a variety of new threads on what are essentially really petty moans. Easy trolling. Nobody's saying it's above criticism but starting a new thread each week complaining about popcorn or that it's showing a successful, rated film that you personally don't like is either stupid or trolling. Likely both. Amy is currently only one late showing a day on one screen and it's still taking money because it's a great place to experience a successful,highly regarded film. That's how small cinemas in neighbourhood locations can stay in business in a Netflix world. People seem to have forgotten the last 50 years already...

Ideally imported Haggis from a questionable source. If it has been flown all the way from Scotland by frozen air freight, it only adds to the appeal.

I'm a Scot and when I visit Sydney there's nothing I like more than my host to have prepared a steaming plate of haggis for my arrival.

In terms of the overall experience....I've been three times now either on my tod or with family and it's without doubt the best addition locally in years. Great seats, great sound, good overall experience and a nice fit out. The missus has also been several times with the baby on Wednesday mornings and loves it. I'd say that's by far the silent majority opinion. No need to go into LLW (for umpteenth time) on this thread....

Having a debate with my brother about whether you used to be able to get dark chocolate Yorkies. I'm convinced you could...and they had a red wrapper?

A Cadbury caramel is not something you deploy without thinking for sure but it's a heavy hitter. North Americans are always impressed with a Lion Bar....and a Star Bar is also a good choice.
