Why not just restore the original ticket hall and use the existing entrance for exiting only? Am I missing something?

Yes it was better before the renovations. Those designers should have been sacked. There's such a bottleneck at peak times I prefer to go to peckham tbh.

There are fast trains to Bromley South from Denmark Hill but they do not stop at Peckham Rye.

Just come back from DH and access wasn't improved by people choosing to wait standing on the stairs. There were 6 of them, causing anyone who need to hold the handrail to go round them and also, of course, reducing room on the stairs. Lots of passengers from Kings have reduced mobility and handrails are important

Why block the stairs?

Lynne it's so true! Even chatting to the staff whilst hanging around on stairs at peak time which I've noticed as well. Feel you're interrupting them when you want to actually find out about train times or changes...

I think they?d be reluctant due to the money made from leasing to the cafe and the pub.
