Hi,

Does anyone know if there is any childcare for children from 6 months old that is only in term time. I am a teacher that will be going back to work in September 2012 when my baby will be 6/7 months old. I only need childcare during the term. Are there any nurseries or childminders that provide services like this in the Dulwich area?

Thanks,

Gemma

You could phone Southwark Family Information Service on 0800 013 0639.

They can give you advice and contact details of any nurseries or childminders that run a term-time only service.

Some childminders do this alongside looking after year round children (me included since June) but at the moment I have no spaces.

I'm a teacher and there are childminders out there who only work term time, Southwark will be able to tell you. In the end I found an amazing childminder who I pay half during the school holidays which gives me the option of sending my daughter on odd days over the summer (for full pay obviously). The only nuseries I found offering term time only care also had quite short hours e.g. 9-4 which, unless you have someone to pick up/drop off for you, dont work. I didn't know Ducks were term time only though. Hope this helps a bit

If McCash really thought his defection could trash the Labour Party nationally, and it was loaded with invective and exhibitionism, then that's pretty much the definition of a "hissy fit"! Scooping the Green nomination for DaWN constituency is also going to be a lot harder for a Marxist arriviste than you suggest. There may be a wave of new, younger Polanski-ites that have joined the Green Party of E&W recently, but it's the long-standing, often retired members of the Party that tend to participate in candidate interview panels and bother voting in selections...
