barrybrush
On the subject of police inaction, I was attacked by an oversized bulldog last week in Lewisham. I have a bruise and broken skin on my inner thigh and and also somewhere unmentionable. I rang 999 at the time,I was told an alert would go out but no advice about whether this would result in any reaction. I later rang 101 which resulted in being put through to a council answerphone. I then reported it online.I was rung back the following day and it was obvious that the telephonist is under instructions to keep down the need for a police response and the level of reported crime. I was told 'dogs can be unpredictable'. No crime number. I was told a report would be sent to the local police. My concern all along was this dog will do it again and maybe next time close its jaw. Pugwash
I vaguely remember noting when we had dogs, that one of my house insurances had a section relating to injuries caused by pets - must be the contents insurance.
