Gin & Giggles with the Midults

Recommended Posts

Join Village Books and The Midults for an evening of gin and giggles! Founders Annabel Rivkin and Emilie McMeekan will be discussing their new book I?m Absolutely Fine! A Manual for Imperfect Women. They?ll be offering a wry, heartfelt and edgy look at what it is to be a grown-up woman : with all the anxiety and potential, all the fun and dysfunction woven through every minute of every day.

I?m absolutely fine but I slightly need to pee, I followed the road less travelled and now I don?t know where the hell I am, I just ate the fridge, my sock is slipping off inside my shoe, another week has ended without me becoming accidentally rich, my jeans hate me, unexpected object in the bagging area, I?ll have a caf? mocha vodka Valium latte to go please, where?s my phone? My anxieties have anxieties, no? not like that ? here, I?ll do it, do I have to do everything?

Annabel and Emilie founded The Midult in 2016. They are journalists, worriers and incredibly good friends. Together they write a Midult column in the Saturday Telegraph Magazine and Annabel has a column in the Evening Standard?s ES Magazine.

    • Yes, we have a Casio CT-S100 we no longer need, except I dont think we have the headphones any more. It has a USB connection. £50? https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7333639
    • Thank you! She is both spayed and microchipped, and reported missing on Petlog and with the vets.   She normally never goes out the front, certainly for never more than 10-15 minutes, so this is definitely new territory for her. There is lots of dense foliage across the road so there are plenty of places she could be hiding if she is spooked, so we are hoping she will come back when she is calm. The weather isn't helping, she never goes out in the rain. Thank you again!
    • Hi, Have you been letting her out the front door onto the street or would this be a first & therefore unfamiliar with the area? Does she respond to a name & is she spayed & microchipped? Our team carry scanners on our daily routes & will of course be looking our for her. I hope you are reunited with her soon. If not already, notify your street & surrounding streets (find out if they have Whatsapp groups) Dox will print & deliver free missing posters https://www.doxdirect.com/help/free-missing-pet-posters/ Call her at dusk & dawn when street & foot traffic is at its lowest.
