Free Junior Open Mic Session at Off The Cuff Music Bar SE24

NEXT SESSION ? Sunday 10th March 2019 2pm-4.30pm

These sessions are designed to make young performers feel as special as possible and nurture confidence. The venue provides a professional sound engineer plus a dedicated sound stage featuring an array of mics, fully mic'd up house drum kit, full size Roland keyboard and guitar amps. On-hand is a performers' assistant, award giver, compere, stage assistant and supportive, friendly audience ? and a free soft drink to every performer!

These events started in late 2017 and have become the largest Junior Open Mics in London. They are organised by local parents as free community events. Typically, young performers are aged between 4-14 and we see up to 36 performers per session ? from solo singers with backing track, poets, instrumentalists to rock bands.

First-timers are very, very, very welcome! There is no judgement and our focus is on the bravery of getting up on stage. If your child is interested, pop along and see what it's all about. There is no pressure to perform.

    • They’ve backed away from pretending they produce their own goods recently. That claim sat at the centre of the misdirection for years. They’ve now accepted they can’t sustain it, so they’re beginning to highlight the local independent bakeries whose products they actually sell. The business is essentially a courier model running on a slim margin.
    • Another sparrow hawk visor to our cherry tree at the weekend.  Our robin survived, but we may be a sparrow down.     any thoughts on bird feeders & bird baths with the current bird flu?  I try to wash out the bird bath most days when at home, but not on the 3 days in a row that I’m in the office & the bird feeders rather less regularly. Would it be better not to have at all (as my partner thinks)?
    • OOOPS. My daughter just had to pay a five pound fine. I hadn't put a stamp on it. I remember wondering whether to use a  first or second class stamp,  and clearly when I posted it I still hadn't decided (but sadly didn't notice). I feel really bad for suspecting a postie might have  opened it.  Sorry posties.
