A splendid shopping experience

Yesterday afternoon, excited about an idea for my grandson?s imminent birthday, I went to the lovely Rye Books on North Cross Road, explained my idea, and ended up ordering two splendidly appropriate books.

This morning I collected them.

So for me, at least, it?s definitely a case of bye-bye Amazon and all that excessive packing to wrestle with and then dispose of.

Rye Books is great. With so many fabulous independent bookshops around, definitely no reason to order via Amazon.
