Stray dog near Peckham Rye Park/Nunhead

My husband and I have seen a stray dog on the streets nearby Peckham Rye park (north end), and Cheltenham road. We have also seen the dog on Surrey Road. The dog seems nervous of people and there were some people who were trying to 'catch' him earlier tonight unsuccessfully. Has anyone else seen this dog? Stocky build, brown, short hair.

It got into Harris Girls Academy and was caught and taken away by a Police dog handler. I'd imagine it would have been taken to Battersea, but am not sure. At least it's safe for the moment.
