Another shout out for Tony who we've used many times over the years. On this occasion he came out at short notice after our towel rail sprang a leak. Having identified the problem, he fixed it quickly and for a fair price. Always a pleasure to deal with him.

I regularly use Tony for all my plumbing issues. He resolved an ongoing problem within minutes that another plumber failed to identify and which was causing me regular visits without a permanent solution. Just that one visit saved me a lot of money. Always fair, professional and friendly. Thank you Tony!

I can fully agree with all of the glowing recommendations here, Tony was quick to make an appointment to assess our plumbing problems, a serious leak and a Boiler that keeps cutting out. He fixed the leak on the spot and then pointed out all the parts in the boiled to explain and show what was causing the problem which made perfect sense and the solution. Very impressed with Tony's professionalism, advice, efficiency and thoroughness, his competitive rate and sense of humour are the bonus!

Just another post about Tony we must have the oldest boiler in London he has done everything to keep it going including finding a spare part they don't even make anymore. He is knowledgeable friendly totally ethical and honest almost to his own detriment. An absolute pleasure to recommend him. He has now been our plumber for almost ten years so much so the children ask if Tony will be fixing the tap/sink/boiler or whatever if we have an issue - I know I have posted on here before and I have recommended him to so many friends and family. I just wanted to boost his forum profile again because he deserves it.

He responded fast replacing my grandma’s shower mixer tap … I called him this morning and it was done by the afternoon… he also gave her an oap discount… his number is 07734956340 ..

During my time, I dealt with multiple trades people. Tony is a breath of fresh air. He is professional, honest and gets back to you promptly. You can tell he genuinely enjoys his job. He was able to fix things promptly. No time wasting. His charges are also reasonable. Thank you for sorting out my issues.

Another great recommendation for Tony ,

He kindly called round..

had a look at our heating system to help us cut our gas bill down, he recommended and installed a Tado Smart Control and smart thermostats on radiators.

Now we can control temperatures in each room .

We’ve already noticed a difference on our smart meter .. what a hero , we always recommend his services due to his professionalism and expertise..

his speedy response to our heating nightmare fixed in minutes .

he never wanted to take any money as he was nearby.

we made sure he accepted his callout charge with a little extra to show our appreciation. 
he always gets things sorted and we can’t recommend him enough 👍🏼

I'd also like to recommend Tony from Only Flues and Hoses. Not only has he chosen a genius name for a plumbing business based in South London, he also came out on a Saturday morning to fix a leaking pipe in my bathroom. 

His service was prompt and professional. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it quickly, which is a weight off my mind.

      Most of the shops in LL have too small a footprint. That's why we have so few chains. That won't change quickly.

      Errr could it be because of the noise pollution coming from it perhaps? You may not be able to hear it where you live but anyone on the Dulwich Village side of Lordship Lane all the way to beyond Brockwell Park is being disturbed by it - the sound wash from it is huge and that's a lot of people. As I said before we know people who live nearer to Brockwell Park to us and they say it is unbearable.   To be fair the Emirates moved to a piece of wasteland between railway tracks so it actually in a less densely populated area now and the council actually goes out of their way to try to mitigate the impact on local residents and yes, other than the concerts, you could hear a pin drop on matchdays! 😉

      Chains moving in is a sure sign that LL is heading for a fall. They are parasites, waiting for the independents to be successful and then, in partnership with rapacious landlords, they move in and force out those very businesses who have created the market they then seek to exploit. They replace a lively diversity with a bland and predictable offering. Then, when a downturn arrives, they move out, leaving boarded up premises and charity shops. Independent businesses who have worked hard to make a success of their efforts will try to see out hard times as they’ve invested so much. Chains look only at the bottom line and think nothing of closing branches. Chains are liable also to expand too fast, be managed badly and then collapse. Think of Brick House being forced out by Gail’s, the closure of White Stuff (although that chain was replaced by another) and JoJo Maman Bebe. . Sadly, I fear that will be the future of LL.
