Never mind, the Grove Caf? is just a couple of doors along and does excellent sandwiches and rolls.

Proper caf? at realistic prices. Mugs of tea and coffee. Cheerful friendly staff.

Spacious seating area. Sausage roll and giant mug of Tea. Change out of a fiver.

maybe because they don't allow you to eat whilst working on your pc on the weekends. I understand they are worried about squatters and need to turn over tables, but it's the afternoon, empty and I had ordered food and drink within 2 mins of walking in (meanwhile a group of 4 hadn't even ordered by the time I received my food). I had to leave immediately bc work deadline, didn't drink tea, had food wrapped up but should have left without. they have a sign, but didn't see, but who cares? I wasn't even using their wifi. too bad because I often visit them during the week and spend a bit of money each time. good luck to them but be nice if they gave some consideration for people who come in by themselves; wonder if it is OK if I was reading a book? they must have another reason for no pcs?....

    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!

    • Why would mice move? It’s not so much they move as multiply and spread    copy and paste rather than cut and paste  mice can and should be dealt with.  But not easily or with guarantees  i would say most people in se22 reading this have mice. Whether they know it or not
