Hello, I'm looking for recommendations please - best if you can DM me please. Victorian house, converted to flats, three stories. Side wall of the semi detached building is rendered and painted - in many places the render is blown and there is damp ingress. Looking for the existing render to be removed and the entire wall re-rendered. Ideally prior to winter! Many thanks

ULEZ - EURO 6 Conversion for Diesal car anyone?

I called James yesterday after finding this thread as I was need of an urgent plumber after the person I had previously booked failed to show. James came around a few hours later to help fix the problems - fixed everything needed in very short time, new waste fitted to a sink, isolation valves on pipes leading to taps, leaking waste on a different sink, leaking valve on a new radiator, plus organised his colleague to connect a new gas hob. Wholeheartedly recommend - was pretty much the most efficient plumber I've ever come across. Plus a very nice guy. He'll be my first call next time I need someone.

Edited out as it was a silly question?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-56419277 Interesting report above. Seems the "poor signange" has been replicated by other councils. Money spinner. -

Playgrounds need to be open, young children. And parents standing around chatting, provided they socially distance, are doing nothing wrong unless it was a pre-arranged meeting.

Road trip San Fran to LA to San Fran - any advice or recommendations??
bobbsy replied to ninbi's topic in The Lounge
You'll have a fantastic time - I did similar about 10 years ago. In an RV perhaps you won't have too many issues, but watch for police, specifically along the pacific highway, as it was easy to speed. San Luis Obispo was a fun college town, and the country roads/mountain roads up to Lake Isabella were brilliant. -
Does anyone know where to get a pet mouse?
bobbsy replied to portioncontrol's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
There is a large pet shop on the way into East Grinstead (A22) (Pets at Home) that had mice and other rodents for sale when i was in there a few months ago. -
JohnL, are MOT's required currently or are they postponed again?

TW very kindly offering to send someone to check my place on 26th Oct. If you are experiencing issues, and have the time, please call TW so they realise it's a local problem affecting many. -

In all honesty, if I were the landlord I'd be happy he's gone and not worry about the extra day and the cleaning.

Hello, I'm looking for someone could could do a thorough clean of a 2-bed flat this coming saturday 18th Oct, from about 10am. Not essential, but if you could also do carpet cleaning that would be handy! If interested could you please PM me. I'd prefer an independent cleaner than an agency. Many thanks

Hello, also very sorry to hear. Could you say if the shed was in the front yard or the back yard?

Some ovens use a standard 13amp socket, some are hardwired into (I think 30amp) a higher capacity circuit. It will say on the spec of the oven. If it comes with a cord and a plug it will use a 13 amp socket. Happy to be corrected but that's my memory of when I replaced mine. It won't need any specific clearance above betwen the hob, they are all insulated.

Recommendation wanted for reasonably priced front door
bobbsy replied to Pickle28's topic in Request a Tradesperson
The best way I found was to source a reclaimed door from the door place over towards sydenham (think its called dulwich reclamation?) - they will find an appropriate door, cut it and recondition it, and it will be great. Then find a carpenter to inmstall. -
Wish they'd put some kind of barrier on Underhill Road...

Just cut a hole in it for a straw...
