I know this a long shot but i need a few receipts for Lidl in peckham.

Why? I received a parking fine at the beginning of the year. Rushing to take my duaghter swimming, car park full there, went to Lidl carpark which was a quarter full, as it was dark I didnt notice the strategicaly placed signs saying there was a two hour limit! We went swimming, did soft play, had a burger then went to lidl! when I recieved a fine i wrote to them stating that I had being spending money in the area etc and was asked to send any receipts I had from lidl - which I did, (I had the cash receipt from that day) and it got lost! I know have to come up with other receipts (any dates) but after a massive recycling from me a few weeks ago i have no receipts anywhere in the house.

So if anyone has a few receipts please could i have them! I will happily donate some money to a charity rather than pay a private parking company money!

You don't need to pay the fine at all. Have a look at moneysaving expert for some very sound advice.

You will receive some threatening letters from the private parking company that runs Lidl car parks but they are not enforceable.

Also - if you can't prove you were shopping in Lidl in the day in question they would be very unlikely to let you off a fine because you happened to be shopping there on another day and didn't 'overstay'.

I'm more than happy to discuss further if you want to PM me.

    • Well thanks for enriching the conversation.  Would you chuck Fah - rage in too for his tax avoidance on his property?   I expect it was lead story on Jeremy Vine too.  Doesn't make it a story, just a bit more of BBC tabloid style sensationalism.  There are numerous real news stories in the UK and across the world.  And now, apt for Halloween, you have summoned up the ghost of Louisa. So for the third time, will you now eat humble pie?
