ATM charging 95P!

Just went to ATM by Barry's. It's charging 95p to withdraw cash! Is this a new thing?

Really? It must be new, my partner and I have quite often got cash out there, and it's always been free.

Yes, it started charging a few weeks ago. Here's a recent piece about the pressure on 'free' ATMs to start charging:

It's all part of the push to card use, restricting easy access to cash.

Thanks everyone. I guess I would rather pay 95p on the odd occasion I need to withdraw money, than not have the ATM at all.

Once people stop using it due to charging ... it'll go.

Don't use money a lot now - but it's not really a great moral way to go about removing ATMs
