Strawbs
I bought a chameleon off the forum and it's fab but the bits on the side that allow you to fold it up easily to then take it in the car etc seem to get stuck and it takes both of us and about half an hour to get it to work.. I've had a friend who has one try to do it in case I wasn't doing it right and it definitely gets stuck and locks, today it took 45 mins and me a couple of swear words!! As I got it second hand I can't go back to the retailer so any clues as to where I could go to get someone to look at it? Or am I better off seeing if anyone has a chassi they aren't using? Thanks! craigy
As above, I dropped mine off at Peppermint in Clapham with the same problem, it was away for a couple of weeks and cost ?82 to be fixed. Its quite a common problem, now works perfectly. However, the only thing I would say is that I didn't actually get my chassis back as I noted the serial number before it went and it was different on return. I think this may have been more the shops fault though as I left it there a couple of weeks longer as I was away.. etta166
I had a really bad experience with buggypitstop and my Phil&Teds. It was away for 6 weeks and in the end never fixed. Also, buggypitstop lost the buggy for a while. When I mentioned this at Peppermint the manager there said that he was considering leaving buggypitstop because of the number of problems that he had seen! So I'd say, use with caution... luella
My bugaboo bee has been with Buggypitstop for the past 6 weeks, and still no sign of the part that I was told was in stock when arranging repair. The service I received has been appalling and I'm starting to worry that my buggy will never be repaired. I will never use them again but then again I couldn't find anywhere else that provides a similar service. Again, use with caution... craigy
When I was looking around for someone to repair mIne these were the only ones who would touch a bugaboo as they are a closed system.. etta166
I'd try contacting bugaboo - they are meant to have wonderful customer service and replaced my second-hand cameleon frame for me. I only got the Phil&Teds when I had a second baby and hated it compared to the Bugaboo!! Saffron
Etta166, what number did you have for contacting them? We tried but could never find a number that got us through to an actual person at Bugaboo. Husband and I eventually ended up sourcing spare parts from Buggy Pitstop, but their customer service is awful! etta166
I contacted Bugaboo via the website contact form, and corresponded by email. I don't have the email address any more though.
