Hi

Can anyone recommend a good sleep consultant? After months of sleeping well our now 18 month old is refusing to go to sleep at night. After trying to fix it since before Christmas we?ve now given up and have decided we need some help. So any recommendations would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Just wanted to say thanks for this post and recommendations. We agonised for months and finally went for it and wish we hadn't waited. A real life saver and the whole process was far less painful than I anticipated. Best money we've ever spent.

Nic Watson at Child Sleep Solutions is incredible. I can?t recommend her strongly enough. I was skeptical at first but it was worth every penny, turns out you can actually enjoy being a mum if you and your child have had a good night?s sleep!

3 nights in with Nic at Child Sleep Solutions and we all got a full night's sleep! Unbelievable. Fingers crossed it continues. I was sceptical I have to admit with some of the suggestions but it is like crazy voodoo how well it has worked so far. x

    • Considering the private revision study that my children undertook, perhaps 15 to 20 years ago in that library it seems a shame they have timed the refurbishment so it won't be open at this crucial time for children. But hey, so long as it's greener...
    • Enforcement costs money which I doubt the fines actually pay for. Presumably it hasn't been a priority.

    • Per Cllr McAsh, as quoted above: “We are currently updating our Enforcement Policy and changes will allow for the issuing of civil penalties ranging from £175 to £300 for visible smoke emissions, replacing the previous reliance on criminal prosecution. " Is anyone au fait with the Clean Air Act 1993, and  particularly with the state of 'Smoke Control' law and practice generally?  I've just been looking  through some of it for the first time and, afaics, the civil penalties mentioned  were introduced into the Clean Air Act, at Schedule 1A, in May 2022.  So it seems that, in this particular,  it's a matter of the enforcement policy trailing well behind the legislation.  I'm not criticising that at all, but am curious.
