My son?s primary school has dropped all language lessons in year 5 & 6 to concentrate on Sats.. I?m keen to do an online / app based fun language course with him, prob Spanish, so that he goes to Secondary with at least some familiarity of a foreign language. Happy to pay for a good one. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Yep - Duolingo is fantastic. It keeps a record of how many days in a row you have practiced - so you could reward that behaviour, which might be useful as an incentive - and it makes language learning a game.

AFAIK a lot of local secondaries still start with French in yr 7.

    • Another recommendation for Adam on the Dartmouth Road. Have been going there for years. I will never go anywhere else (unless I move home to somewhere far away!) No faff, very reasonal price and nice atmosphere 👍
    • Thanks so much I’ll try that too… might still try getting hold of an air purifier as well if at all possible - want to try cover all bases!
    • The 185 is often the same. But that's why buses sometimes (and annoyingly) stop to "regulate the service". To be fair, it's often due to traffic conditions. If there is not much traffic, the one behind catches up with the one in front.
    • I imagine this is because of the average  additional time involved, due to the styles. You could have asked the reason? I will ask, next time I'm in there.  Many salons have this differential pricing.
