maria
Ptlolmeo 160 freestanding bookcase ?300 ono. (Retails at ?800-?900)A Ptolomeo freestanding bookcase by Italian designer Bruno Rainaldi in black. It?s very striking and gives the illusion that the books are piled up in a haphazard way, with no visible support when viewed from the front. This is the freestanding version. The stand is made from tough chromed and lacquered steel, and has a strong heavy base, in a contrasting finish, that ensures stability. It can store numerous books of different sizes. There are 11 shelves. The overall height is 160cm. The base is 35cm by 35cm wide. Each shelf is 12 by 19cm. The shelves will take paperbacks and hardbacks and some mid sized art and cookery books. Larger books are better on the base. You can find more info and spec at the Conran shop but listed is the taller version. This 160cm version retails for around ?800-?900. https://www.conranshop.co.uk/ptolomeo-book-stand-blk-215cm.htmlIt is offered in good condition, but there are some small marks and scratches and areas of discolouration on the shelves, plus a dint in the base but most you won?t see these when full of books! Feel free to come and view. Collection from East Dulwich near Goose Green. Please note that this quite heavy.
