Hi there If any one has had a motorbike/ scooter stolen this morning (Friday) I might be able to help. At 10.15ish this morning I saw a man on a motorbike driving all over the place without a helmet and trying to make a call at the same time on Crawthew/ spurling Road. It just looked very suspicious and he then stopped at the goose green end of spurling road and I took a picture. I think the motorbike wax blue but not entirely sure. Please get in touch if this is of any help.

Just by way of an update the D lock was cut off using an angle grinder so someone targeting the local area and more locked bikes being reported as stolen. maria Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Just to say they aren't that safe and my partners > bike was stolen from the one on Crawthew Grove > near the Bishop. Lock busted plus bike D locked!

We have further investigated this and have found part of the D lock - most of it was removed clearly as they dont want us to find out how they are getting the D locks off. This was a level 4 lock and no 5 is the most secure one apparently.Anyway it was cut with a cordless angle grinder - so some is very organised and just means no bike is safe even when locked. Bikes are becoming a valuable commodity. My partner is also a nurse and has been using her bike and cycling for safe exercise and stress relief during this difficult time so really feeling its loss

Lock on hanger was forced and now broken so wasnt just left open!

Covered by house insurance but still have to pay the initial ?100.

There seems to be several reports of breakins to these hangers locally so clearly not that safe but also to break a heavy duty D lock means someone quite professional!

My partners bike was stolen yesterday from the bike hanger along Crawthew Grove near the Bishop Pub yesterday. The lock on the bike hanger has been forced and the bike was also D locked - so person who stole it was very organised. It was a Women's silver Specialized bike - so if anyone saw anything let me know. There are other bikes still in there and I have reported this to Cycle Hoop who manage it.

NOW HOME! Missing small, young, all black female cat
maria replied to maria's topic in Lost, Found or Stolen
Glad the stickers were appreciated as all too often lost cat posters disappear and you never know what happened and so many lovely people helped us in our search. Squiggly is doing well and gradually putting on weight and getting her confidence back. We will be letting her reuse the cat flap and go outside properly again this week. Plus she is now micro chipped - just incase! Her brother Charlie is very happy to have her home. Maria -
