I know plans are useful and give you a chance to think about how you would ideally Like your birth to.go but I do sometimes wonder if its a bit like the 'choosing your primary school's myth when actually there is, sometimes, little actual choice involved. choice brings heightened feelings if guilt if toy worry that your 'choices' were 'wrong'. obviously there are things you can do to increase the likelihood of getting the birth you'd Like but at the end of the day sometimes its just not meant to be. parenting beings with it almost inevitable guilt lol and I suppose it sometimes starts with labour and birth. despite the intervening years, greater knowledge about birth and parenting and the odd burst of objectivity I still sometimes 'blame' myself for a 'bad' birth and subsequent issues with my lovely baby even though I know it isn't the case.

    • These neighbours dislike trees period. They refused to have lost trees replaced by the Estate on our communal green. They don’t like the leaf and seed droppings. These make the grass look ‘messy’. Similarly, they don’t like my policy of leaving the tree leaves where they lie on the grass verge - hence chopping the overhanging branches. It’s like living in the 1950s. My neighbours have three gardeners with leaf blowers who come twice weekly to remove every leaf from their front lawns. Their grass is cut weekly and all the  cuttings put in multiple brown bins. It’s an outdated mindset of the moneyed classes in my view. But sadly, I’m very much in the minority.
