We have loads of paving slabs available for free to anyone who can pick them up.

There are around 150 of the square slabs which are 45cm x 45cm and 3.5cm deep

3 that are 18inches x 18inches and 2inches deep

8 that are 3ft x 2ft and 2 inches deep

We've also got 22 concrete edging strips which are 3ft x 6inches and 2inches deep.

(Rope edging now gone).

PM me for further details and the pickup address.

Thanks

Hi Everyone

It's the final chance to pick up the paving before we have to put them in the skip.

We still have:

- about 40-50 of the 45cm x 45cm and 3.5cm deep

- The larger concrete slabs and edging

- more than 30ish bricks

They are all on our drive behind the skip and free to whoever can pick them up first from SE22.

PM me for the address.

    • Well, Peckham is a real place, whereas 'Bellenden Village' is an estate agent invention, and is topologically meaningless.
    • Ok, I'll bite. It depends on what you are after (and budget) but our favourite is Forza Wine. We went when it was cold and dark, but it's a rooftop location so should be even better if it's sunny and bright. Link to review below. There's also a recent review on the site of 139 Fika which was pretty good. I'd say it was in Bellenden but they say it's in Peckham (maybe because it makes it sound cooler!). https://open.substack.com/pub/eatsdulwich/p/restaurant-review-forza-wine?r=8oe6m&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=false
    • So. Last night Royal Mail customer service kept me waiting a quarter of an hour with no indication of the wait time,  then closed the service down at 6.30pm. This morning I waited half an hour to speak to someone.   First they told me to make a claim via their website, then reluctantly agreed they could do it on the phone. They required both my and my daughter's name, addresses, postcodes and email addresses, plus my phone number. WHY? THEN they told me a CHEQUE for £9.85 would be sent to my address!!!!!! No compensation for everybody's wasted time, just the Special Delivery (hollow laugh) fee back. I did point out a) we weren't in the Stone Age and b) this cheque would probably either never arrive or be stuck for months in the local delivery office beneath mounds of other mail which never gets delivered. I felt very sorry for this guy. I hope he is well paid. What a terrible job to have. So now, assuming I ever get the cheque, I will have to queue up at the Post Office to pay it in. Having already queued up to post an item for a non existent service in the first place. GRRRRR. Can I be bothered to write to the CEO? No, probably not. I'll just get some bland standard letter back sent by some other poor person with a terrible job.
