Took my daughter to see this at Catford this afternoon. If your little one likes Show Me Show Me, then I strongly recommend you go and see them on tour at some stage.

I was tired, and a little bit hungover, and absolutely dreading it, but I actually really enjoyed it, and thought they were quite funny for the grown ups too.

They also do autographs and pose for photos with kids after the show, and seemed like genuinely nice people. My normally very confident daughter got a bit star struck and shy.

Saw the lovely buggie there with her little one. Was anyone else there today?

;) @ Otta - was a lovely surprise to find you there!

Just to echo what Otta said, the show was fab, all the toys & characters popped up

and it had a panto feel with a few puns/jokes that flew over the kids!

Bugglet isn't quite 18 mths & hadn't been to anything like this before, but the pace the show moved at meant she wasn't distracted and was waving/blowing kisses to Chris & Pui, overheard the mum behind saying that it seems they return every other year to venues but think there's several nearby-ish to here, although I'm fairly sure we'll be there again if their back in 2014!

    • My mum (91 years young!) well remembers going to Austin's as a child, which she described as an 'Aladdin's Cave'!  She absolutely loved it - and is still a shopping fiend to this day (I 'blame' Austin's 😉). Going back up Peckham Rye, passing Austin's on your right hand-side, just past Phillips Walk (so not far from Austin's at all), I believe there was a British Relay Wireless shop - this would have been in the late 1930s/early 1940s.  Does anyone know anything about this? My grandad (my mum's dad) used to manage it; it was severely damaged in The Blitz - but I am having trouble locating it.  Mum's memory is dim (she was 6 at the time); she originally thought it was in Rye Lane, but we think now it was in Peckham Rye just up from Phillips Walk (originally Phillips Road).
    • Thanks everyone, this will need to be reported again as the fox was still mobile and walking down the road when last seen... hopefully someone will spot and report.
