Is there ever any pleasing some of you ladies out there?

Recommended Posts

Couldn't agree more re' some girls feigning an interest. It does my head in when I see girls at the game all dolled up to the nines, because they're obviously on the pull. They should stop wasting tickets because there are actually people who want to watch the game.

In fact, I think we're probably in agreement here and I should just shut up. I'd hate to be thought of as a ladette though........

I have often been referred to as a geezer-bird, so am hurt that Mr dale thinks butch and manly birds like myself are not sexy. He has obviously never had the pleasure of being choked unconsious by the strong thighs or biceps of a muscular woman!
I think Alan is just scared incase their biceps or even dicks are bigger than his! Lol and so feels threatened instead of turned on by a strong amazonian woman, what can't you handle it Mr Dale? Or do tiny little skinny women make you feel more manly and less threatened! or indeed make your dick appear bigger?

what the hell is going on with this forum?

How did we get from the sort of witty banter in The Quiet Room and The limerick threads to this? Has it turned into Heat or TV Quick

Jesus

(and yes I'm well aware that people will now accuse me of being "overly defensive" .... but christ on a bike.. if we have a misogynist thread about females anywhere do point out the irony won't you)

Alas CWALD I have never had the pleasure with Alan, and so can't vouch either way.... But as I doubt Lizzy has either I'm not sure why she feels justified in taking a cheap shot

As for my tastes, historically I have alternated (not deliberately) between "amazonian" and "smaller" (for want of better phrases) - categories don't come into it for me....

Back to Xanthe's original post.

And my reply

"Think about whether you like to be in charge in the relationship, or not, or equal as equal can be.

Then make intentions and expectations clear from day one."

I was serious.

Treat us all as individuals but equally don't try and please all of us by being something you're not.

Absolutely not suggesting you were doing that, but having spoken to a lot of women and men about this over the years (no, I am not a counsellor, I am a writer), I know that women and men very rarely make their case at the outset, being too eager to please. The leading man in the play I just wrote (where he played Dominant Alpha male) paid me the highest complement by saying he now realises why he thinks the way he does about himself and why he has made so many mistakes in the past with his choice of women.

He is dominant but was attracted to dominant women, where as what he really wants is alpha submissive. (A woman who doesn't mind not being in charge but is not a pushover wimp type and does know what she wants.)

Labels labels labels. It's all about sex innit and finding a suitable breeding partner. Cept for those of us who don't want kids. Then it's all about whether he likes riding motorcycles too. If we're biking we don't have to be talking!

Happy New Year.

I'll get me coat.

I had gone home when you all started talking about my wand. Sorry guys..

After a lengthy discussion in the Silver Buckle last night I have decided that I owe Annasfield an apology.

The Piano Seller from Loughborough Junction painstakingly reminded me of various liaisons with girls who liked a drink and in some cases even went to watch football. And whilst I tried to argue a subtle distinction between ladettes and 'party girls' my cause was ultimately lost.

I still however reserve the right to not get involved with girls whose thighs (or cocks) are bigger than mine. That said I would like to swing an axe with Xena Warrior Princess.

I think that one tends to like someone for various intangible reasons and then project the characteristics of the person you like as your preferred type. I think this attribution error is the root cause of the routine failure of dating agencies, websites and singles ads. Shopping list sex doesn't work.

I still think Xanthe should have a word with that girl from work though.

You mean the bit about how the fact that I don't fancy fat birds means I've got a titchy Benitez?!

Why not? If people start to buy it then blokes everywhere will be looking for fatties to prove their masculinity. Takes a real man to bang a whale.

Maybe that's the plan. Pretty convoluted way to get your end Lizzygotdizzy. You should just go for a pint of gin in the Buckle. You'll be guaranteed a knock off..

Blame the Spice Girls, Alan. Girl power.

Blame those adverts on television.. you know.. the ones where the MAN is officiously trying to get the new computer to work and then - get this - the WOMAN just comes in, just presses a switch and bang - it's up and running!!!! ! Genius.

It's a Brave new World out there.

Actually have body-doubled on occasion on a few movies, as "Keef" will tell you, so am deinitely not fat, although don't recall fat being brought into the conversation, Amazonian does not equal fat just real fit and muscular, although nothing wrong with a bit of cushioning at all and many men are into bigger women, twas a bit of a low blow (no pun intended) in relation to your dick size though, you caught me at a bad moment and I (erm....nooo.....nnnarrrgh! unchartered territory) apologise for offending you.

    • Admin, please move this if it's in the wrong section. Can anybody recommend a reasonably local dietician (or possibly nutritionist? Not sure what the difference is). My GP has suggested I see a dietician, but there isn't one attached to the practice. I have googled, but it's very hard to tell what people may be like from an online description, and I want somebody who is properly qualified. Alternatively, please PM me if you know of people I should avoid! Thanks x

    • If you look at the application linked to in the OP, you'll see it's a Licensing Act 2003 one, in this case for the purposes of sale by retail of alcohol and for the provision of late night refreshment: "TAKEAWAY COFFEE/ HOT SNACKS 2300-0100". IF the shop counts as a Hot Food Takeaway, then section P48 of the Southwark Plan https://www.southwark.gov.uk/sites/default/files/2024-09/Southwark Plan 2022 reduced 1.pdf , which appears to be the latest one linked to on Southwark's site, will I presume be applied in any  planning application (Is there one?). It says: "New hot food takeaways will only be permitted where: ..... 3. The proposed location is further than 400 metres from any existing or proposed primary or secondary school’s boundary; ....." It incorporates  policy laid down in the National Planning Policy Framework, and thence the London Plan.  Over the years KFC, and others, have taken a  number of appeals against local planning authority decisions on Takeaways to the Planning Inspectorate.  Some have been allowed.  KFCs 'commentary on evidence contained in London Plan Topic Paper: Hot Food Takeaways', https://www.london.gov.uk/sites/default/files/nlp_ad_91.pdf may be of interest to some. I'm guessing it's referring to https://www.london.gov.uk/sites/default/files/london_plan_topic_paper_on_hot_food_takeaways.pdf of 2018, but haven't yet checked.
