just wondered if anyone has tried this bottles. My 2 1/2 week old daughter seems to be struggling to go for a number two. We have been using tommee tippee bottles and the aptimal powder for colic/constipation but so far nothing seems to work. Going to try dr brown's bottles as seen they get good reviews for stopping wind etc but just wondered if anyone has had success in using these

I have just had these delivered too as getting Increasingly desperate for my son also 2 1/2 weeks. It def does seem to reduce air he is taking in hilst feeding but as i hav had to up he formula vs breastmilk ratio he too is constipated. Give them a go, wOrth a try!

just a few points having had 2 daughters, who both had collic - this is something which disappears naturally after about 6 weeks. I tried all sorts of different tricks with both, but by about 6 weeks, it had gone because they had grown into feeding.

Re. constipation. A breastfed baby won't poo every day, and this won't be due to contipation, they get what they need, and store up reserves, and might not poo every day. A formula fed baby will be more likely / should be pooing more regualarly. I don't know what this means - or what you should expect for mixing formula / breast feeding though.

    • I hate cooking and I can't cook. I live on stuff out of the freezer which I cook once every six months. I exaggerate only slightly.
    • Simply, give us a snap election now as the last 12 months in office honestly have not been great in any sense. Let someone else have a go at turning around UK plc before it's too late. At least the last administration had the inflation and unemployment rates going in the right direction at the END.
    • Yes but what's the answer, Jazzer? No government can simply walk in and fix the economy - get the bills down, grow it and reduce debt. There is no silver bullet. The public (and the press) wants everything now, everything cheaper, but with better public services and lower taxes.  In the radio and paper, all you ever hear is pundits, MPs, think tanks and economists saying what won't work, but no one seems to know what will work.  I'm genuinely interested to hear what other views people have on here, and what they think will help, or make things worse.
    • While they struggle with economics of UK plc, collectively we all suffer as a result of their ineptitude.
