Wanted: 2 bed to buy

Recommended Posts

Hello,

myself and my brother are looking to buy a 2 bed around South East. We're first-time buyers with a mortgage in principle. Our budget is ?375,000.

We're not necessarily in a rush though we've started looking and are keen! We're currently renting in ED, and only have to give one months notice; we can move fairly quick if needed.

So far we've seen a handful of 2+ bed flats from Peckham through to Forest Hill and Sydenham, though nothing has been quite right. Space and light is a must, an outdoor space would be ideal.

Cheers!

Ian

If you look at Penge, Anerley or even a bit further out to Bromley. All are pretty decent areas to be fair and well connected, you'll definitely get more for your money.

I moved to Sydenham (Lower Sydenham end) near Mayow Park and managed to get much more for our money than we would've been able to get in Crystal Palace and Forest Hill.

With the expansion of the Bakerloo line, it's a pretty good time to be looking down this way.

    • He played the system.  He deprived the government of money that could be spent on the country.  Whether wisely or wasted.  It (Farage) makes me feel sick.  How could anyone who believes in society and contributing according to their means not agree?
    • If you are referring to his comments about  Angela Rayner's dishonest declarations resulting in evasion of tax on her purchase of the flat in hove, then there is no hypocrisy on Farage's part.  He funded the purchase of a property in his partner's name. This is 100% legitimate and makes good sense in terms of reducing IHT liability in the future - given their respective ages and individual wealth. Rayner's action was "evasion" which is illegal. Farage's action was "avoidance" which is 100% legitimate.
