Painting for sale - helping children fundraise!

Recommended Posts

My 3 children have completed a work of art to sell in order to save up for a trip out of London this summer.

We are a single parent family and so affording holidays is not an option so my children have taken creative initiative to raise the money themselves!

So I am listing their painting here and am open to offers!

It?s a really beautiful and large piece painting created using professional acrylic paint on board.

Happy to answer any questions

Collection is from Dulwich Village

Hi there - may I say a big congrats to your children and you for taking the initiative to use your talents in this way. Coming from a single parent family I recall a few mini caravan breaks... usually in the rain! Could you post a photo of the artwork (if dry) in an upright position to appreciate it. Wonder if there is a bidding app / way of setting this up to receive bids then the ball could get rolling. Is it mentioned on the family section too? Bid of ?15 to get things started...

Hi Maria,

Thank you! Yes i?m So proud of them and the painting looks great! Do you have an email I could send the painting too?

I think in this day and age it?s the best you can do when times are hard to give your children the gift of appreciating the pleasure in taking control of your destiny! That way they can have the satisfaction of knowing they thought of a solution, put in the work and achieved something!

I guess a bidding thing would be great but not sure how to go about arranging that! Any ideas??

    • I haven't had a rude EVRI delivery but last week I had an unexpected delivery at 10.42 pm. He didn't ring the bell or knock on the door (or rattle the letter flap) but just took a photo and put the box down.  If it hadnt been for the door camera giving us a beep we would never have known there was a parcel ready to sit there all night.

    • I have a rescue Spanish greyhound (galgo) from the charity mentioned above. You can contact Greyhounds in Need or one of the more local Kent greyhound rescue charities. They are fantastic family dogs. They do love walkies 2 or 3 times a day but they actually don't need to be walked too far and then they will happily loaf around on the sofa being very chill. They are brilliant with kids but not recommended if you own a cat as they have a strong prey drive. They also should be kept on the lead in local parks. They prefer to be around other sight-hounds (well my one does) and there are loads of local sighthound owners in Peckham, Crystal Palace etc and a very lively WhatsApp group that is brilliant if you need dog sitting as you can usually find someone to do that for free in return for you looking after the dog at a later date etc.
