Sixteen forumites attended yesterday evening. Good to see new people and old hands.

The food was good, quite old school curry house fare but tasty. I enjoyed my Chicken Dhansak and the other dishes that I tried were very good.

Foxie kept my end of the table entertained with his magical card tricks, he is getting better, even when his card are sticky with ectoplasm.

So, the next meeting is on 12 December at the Dulwich Tandoori http://www.dulwichtandoori.co.uk/, I will need to know numbers to book a table. Meet at the EDT http://eastdulwichtavern.com/ at 7pm-ish and on to the restaurant at 8pm-ish.

NB - JANUARY - I am away on the first Thursday of January and its only the 2nd, so I suspect people will be feeling somewhat jaded. So, January meet will be on Thursday 9 January 2014. Venue TBC.

    • It was a reactionary post and inappropriate when talking about a real case and a real person who was harmed.  London streets are generally pretty safe.  Sadly violent crime happens from time to time, as it always has.
    • Do tell, CPR Dave, what the spiteful jealous stuff is - I'm intrigued.  Agree - Burnham is a top class communicator (polar opposite of Starmer) he'd do a great job of uniting the party. I still think Wes Streeting has the edge, though I'm sure he has more enemies as well.
    • This is a huge part of the problem.   Starmer is only interested in himself, not in what is best for our country.    There's a litany of stuff he's done for spiteful jealous personal reasons which has damaged the nation enormously. Burnham would be a much better leader than of the other dross left behind when Starmer goes. To inflict a worse leader (and PM) upon us for his own selfish reasons would add to the problems and be entirely in keeping with his woeful premiership so far.
    • I heard today there was a burglary in Lacon Road yesterday evening between 20.00 - 22.00,  apparently the owners were home at the time & thieves got away with electrical items along with the owners car!  Wtf!   Anyone heard anything else?
