Admittedly haven't been there for a while, but they seem to have a flash new menu and their food prices seem to have gone up :(


So maybe they put the Cobra price up with them .....


Service sadly seemed to have deteriorated as well, or maybe they were just tired after the weekend :

Judging by our Curry Club monthly experiences, all the places have increased prices.


Jaflong has increased prices since they stopped selling alcohol.

Their portions are small. I'm a very small eater but manage to eat most of my meal there.


A take away / Delivery from Curry Cabin serves me for 2 meals. As for most deliveries.


Dul. Tan always seems to be busy / full even during the week.

4.65 sounds about right for a large bottle of Cobra, based on the price of a pint in ED pubs.


I suspect that the recession has depressed price rises in local restaurants for the past few years.


The lifting of the recession allows for a correction upwards, and it may be that for some, rents have gone up too.

Nice meal at The Surma last night..


Food and service was very good..


Small turn out due to personal commitments.. ( 6 )


Gents all got a complimentary brandy and the Ladies a Baileys .. Much to the disgust of Mrs BrandNewGuy :)


Then we had a power cut..

Good night at the Surma, with the great East Dulwich power cut to add to the fun.


We haven't been to Jaflong for a while, so lets give it a go.


Remember, it is bring your own bottle, so stop off at your off-Licence of choice for a bottle/can or two.

I’m a professional family & wedding photographer with 14+ years of experience, and I split my time between the US and London throughout the year. I’ll be based in London for the coming weeks and would love to photograph more local families here in East Dulwich.       I don't! But I've also taken to calling myself David, as it seems to shorten the odds of achieving something in life. It's not King Dave, Dave Lloyd George, Dave Hockney, Dave Bowie or Dave Hasselhoff is it? And I'm not sure Michelangelo would have had such success if he'd called his sculpture 'Dave'.

      I think there is still a shoes/clothes recycling bank outside of North Dulwich station.
