Local Carpenter and Furniture maker available for new work

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Hello,

My name is Josh, I'm an East Dulwich resident and have started a business called in-fill that designs, manufactures and installs fitted, bespoke furniture and storage solutions. I have had a number of clients now through this business and am offering my services on here. Please see some images below of the work I do attached below.

I like to make very clean, crisp, modern furniture and enjoy helping my clients maximise space and improve the quality of life within their homes.

As a fairly new company, I am building a reputation for my work and am able to provide references from some of my recent clients if requested.

Finally, I offer very competitive prices compared with larger, more established companies.

If you want a fresh breath of life into your home, or require storage solutions, I would love to meet to discuss how I might help you.

My website can be found at: www.in-fill.co.uk

Photos of my work are available on the instagram: @madebyinfill

I found Josh a few months ago via the East Dulwich Forum.

Josh designed, built and installed some beautiful plywood wardrobes in two slightly awkward alcoves in my flat. I'm so pleased with the end result and I would thoroughly recommend him.

He was quick to respond to messages and easy to communicate with via email. He visited several times to discuss the brief and his designs, iterating as he went along. He made great design suggestions but I never felt under pressure or rushed to make a decision. When Josh came to install the wardrobes he was efficient, tidy and his attention to detail was superb. For bespoke furniture I feel that the cost was very reasonable and competitive with other quotes I received.

Our bedroom has been transformed and I am now thinking of other projects I can invite Josh to help with.

I can also highly recommend Josh. He built a bespoke larder for our kitchen - it is a beautiful and functional piece of furniture. He suggested design elements that maximised the space, was a pleasure to work with and kept us updated throughout.

    • Was it the two proxy votes that had swung it for Cllr McAsh in the first round? Interesting that he lost by two votes in the second. One wonders what the next move for Cllr McAsh is and whether the infighting will continue between the various factions within Southwark Labour?
    • Has anything emerged as to how the reported misinterpretation of rules ruling out proxy votes occurred, or what the specific fault was?  I've found and looked through https://labour.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Labour-group-model-standing-orders-2023.pdf, which afaics seems to be a prime relevant document.  It allows for local council Labour groups making minor amendments to cater for their council's particular form of organisation.  I've not seen any _explicit_ mention of proxy voting in the model SOs document itself.  I'm  attaching my notes on it.     re_Labour-Group-Model-SOs.txt
