Hand tools for woodworking

I'm looking for some chisels and planes to buy/borrow for a short term woodworking project that means I'm loathed to go out and spend a lot of money on new ones. Buying off ebay tends to be hit and miss so hoping someone in ED has some they'd be prepared to lend me or sell cheaply if they aren't using them anymore.

Thanks

David

    • I really don't want to use anything which could cause serious harm to foxes, or indeed to the cats which come into my garden to sit still and silent beneath the bird feeders. This has got worse since rambling  roses were cut back by my back fence, so I need to sort that out, though I don't think rose thorns deter foxes. Though maybe you weren't replying to me, sorry if so!
