Sue Posted April 10, 2012 Share Posted April 10, 2012 Garden centres, especially small ones, tend to have stuff on sale only when it's flowering.My climbing hydrangea is in bud (Hydrangea petiolaris) but I guess you mean the common pink and blue ones? I am from Scotland and they are usually on sale from now up there, lived here for 4 years, but first year here with a garden. - but I guess it is the small garden centre thing. I'd never seen it before.I have the classic purple-blue "Granny Hat" version in my garden, which if kept under control is very pleasant, in a "Bungalow in Eastbourne" kind of wayIf you're buying a lot of plants & want to buy any at trade prices then try this place, it's amazingly good. They've a huge selection of tree's, shrubs, plants and herbs (herbs are also available to pre-order in mixed or single 8's) It is generally for those "in-the-trade" as it were, but if you can: Look the partWalk in with confidenceKnow that prices are the last digits on the barcode/plant label, then you'll be okay.
