I am planning to get together with a number of family and friends for lunch and am in need of recommendations of family friendly restaurants either locally or in central London. My 2.5yr old will be the only chld in our group and has a tendancy for causing chaos in resturants at the best of times, so anywhere that is child friendly or even better has a play area would be perfect!

Victoria Inn Bellenden Road (Peckham) is good with children.

They have a playroom like in the Florence but it's inside the restaurant.

Also, sometimes, we take with us our DVD car player and my son watch his favourite DVD when he starts to be boring (so cheeky/naughty) to be at the restaurant wich allow us a peaceful end of lunch.

We went to Roca in Dulwich Village today with our 18mth old and loved it, was really baby friendly without shouting it from the rooftops - our daughter was charmed by (and charming back!) all the waiting staff and had a really relaxing lunch, hoping to return soon and think they might have space to accommodate larger groups.

    • Piotr and his team just completed our ensuite and we couldn’t be happier. They were a lovely team to have around and took great care with protection and clean-up every day. Communication was great and there were no nasty surprises with the final invoice despite a few challenges with the room along the way. The standard of work is incredible. We still can’t believe this room is in our house!

    • What has that got to do with their being potentially terrified when loud fireworks are set off? To the best of my knowledge nobody is suggesting the firework noise is actually killing the animals.
    • I run a small tutoring service for children who need extra support in their entrance exams as well as overall academic support for areas that need a little shoring up.   I'm a mother whose son benefitted from coaching to get 3 offers from leading schools.  I personally offer Creative Writing as a specialty and in each exam my son scored top marks for his creative.  If you would like to discuss options, do reach out.  We offer online classes in Maths, English, Creative, Science and Spanish to GCSE.  Many thanks, Kate
