fishbiscuits
You don't really need an expert. Speaking from experience, if you are patient (i.e. over the course of 3 years or so) you can eradicate it yourself with concentrated Glyphosate. Some people might tell you that professionals have access to stronger concentrations, but that's simply not true.Send me a private message for more info. EDlittlemoo
Southwark Council offer a knotweed treatment service for a small fee. I would recommend talking to the team there- they will visit three times to treat the knotweed. Good luck, many people don?t realise but there?s lots around East Dulwich so you are not alone! fishbiscuits
mariajoyofcleaning Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> If you can share any knowledge of alternative> methods I would be interested as well. Thank youMost effective method is to wait until stems are fully grown in the summer, cut off the top half, carefully hollow out the insides, and fill with highly concentrated glyphosate. This will ensure it is absorbed into the root system. You can use a professional to take away the off-cuts, or you can look into ways of safely destroying them yourself.
