Hello all,

I m currently on maternity, but I am starting to have a few up coming occasions where I need some support and childcare for our little baby daughter. I d really appreciate if anyone had any recommendations for a caring nanny/babysitter. At the moment it is very much ad hoc so I am hoping to find someone who has flex. Once I go back to work full time it would be more structured childcare.

Many thanks for any recommendations.

Natasha

Hi Natasha

I have a music student from Goldsmiths who lives with me, and she is now finished for the summer. She is really lovely and has lots of childcare (and babies) experience. She is excellent with children and my own children love her. She is also very musical (piano, violin, singing). She is DBS checked but does not have any formal qualifications. She does lots of babysitting and daytime childcare for people however. She wouldn't be your long term/next year solution as she's not a qualified nanny and will be back in lectures etc but could certainly be great in the short term, and on had for evening babysitting.

Let me know if you'd like her details.

Of course I am being facetious but it does feel like if it moves, they will tax it.
    • Politicians particularly so....remember it's always party before people! I doubt McAsh will be in cabinet much longer...he might find even more attempts to kneecap his political career. I wonder if he might have to move to another area and restart - he obviously has political ambition but it seems Southwark is not going to be where it blossoms anymore - unless he can manage some sort of coup.
