For parents/carers interested in finding out more about Bessemer Grange school, please come along to one of the school's weekly tours which are held during term time every Tuesday at 9.30am - no need to book, just turn up at the main reception (Dylways, London SE5 8HP, use the red gate). The next tour is on Tuesday 24 April.

We?d like to invite children entering reception in September (and parents/carers) to a welcome picnic to get to know each other. Details will be sent out with the school introduction packs but please PM us if you would like more information or to register your interest in coming.

Also, come and see the school's outdoor nature classroom and help clear it for summer use! We are holding a Gardening Day on Saturday 28 April from 2pm to 4pm. The more help the better (including children!). Please bring gardening equipment if you can. If you are interested in coming along to help, please send us a PM.

Finally, feel free to PM us with any questions, worries/queries you may have...we've all been through it!

  • 2 weeks later...

Just a reminder of our gardening day tomorrow from 2-4pm. Come and help us clear the wildlife garden and get it ready for Summer use! Hopefully the weather will be a bit better - there is a bit of tree cover but volunteers should wear gloves, waterproofs and wellies....

All volunteers will get a burger or veggie burger. Please bring gardening equipment if you can.

Also, if you weren't able to make the school tour last Tuesday, there will be another one on Tuesday 1 May.

If you have any queries, please send us a PM.

    • I've not done a forensic analysis - on a second viewing: Going up Sydenham Hill from London Road/Lordship Lane, junction with Underhill and Langton with Camberwell Old Cemetery, Honor Oak Rec and the adjacent cemetery, Netherby Road and top of Canonbie (really don't see the point of Jazzer's post). Of the woodland and open space, I thought One Tree Hill, some of it looks like Sydenham Hill Woods, but could also be Camberwell Old Cemetery.

    • Well this will help tomorrow morning for trying to get work from this end of Underhill Road.   I presume the bus stop will be closed again.   As I mentioned before this is to test the lead levels in Thames water.  By the way after googling I noticed England isn't even in the top 10 countries for water quality.  I wonder are we in the top ten for cost to individual 🏠 🏡?   Does anyone know?
