I recommended Joanna a while back, but, having just seen her again, I feel compelled to mention her again. She's so lovely and is really good at what she does, and her charges are extremely reasonable. If you have an ache or a pain, or just want a treat, call her. 07514948002. No dodgy calls please!

  If I don’t feed the birds, they’ve actually come and perched on the fence and stared directly at me through the window. The squirrels do that too.

  I would recommend Coopers bakehouse, which offer a similar service to B&C but it’s just focussed on really good bread, decent prices and keeps for ages (also freezes well). Delivered by bike.

  Bird feeders encourage rats and squirrels. Neither are good for birds.
