Totally agree its doing my head in!!!! Ridiculous sized lorries with trailers, skips flinging their vehicles around smashing chains together etc! I thought ridiculous SUVs were bad enough (not noise, ridiculous size for an ancient city!)All the dust in the air. I really feel for mums and dads with young babies!!!

I am positive the weight of old curbs, tarmac etc sent crashing into lorries or dropped are damaging all our properties. You can really feel the tremors!!These are very old structures and our homes!!! Was even worse on Tuesday when the rubbish collection guys were around with their very Noisey vehicles, speeding around. Eco friendly huh? What a combination!!

Whaaa???

Whaaaaaa????? INDEED! DOH! WHOOPS! SORRIES!!!! Sorry Goodrich school, children, teachers, parents, residents et al.....As soon as I saw the words 'NOISE and GOODRICH" I saw RED!!! Having been affected by the 'pavement replacement, experience!Dust storms and real earth tremors , loud bangs! I just got carried away! Nothing to do with the school at all. Doh!

People ought to stop having children - noisy, dirty, entitled, sweet munchers who stop me driving my car as fast as I want to and have a right to do after paying my taxes!

Do these ?children? actually pay taxes?

Of course not!

These small scale outsiders seem to be more and more common on East Dulwich residential avenues - surely there must be something local councillors should be doing to limit the number of children before East Dulwich is overwhelmed?

  • 3 weeks later...

I was just about to congratulate Goodrich school on the recent dramatic reduction in noise levels associated with poorly supervised children in the outside areas of the school, running and jumping at will, when I realised that the cause of the noise reduction may well be the excessive holidays that staff and children are now enjoying.

Doubtless the running, jumping and general Tomfoolery will now simply be transferred to our local parks which simply do not have the capacity to absorb thousands of poorly supervised young hooligans.

It strikes me though that local councillors, here to help us,should take careful note if the improvement to East Dulwich ambience the school closure has achieved and give urgent consideration to educating these young people at secure residential accommodation a reasonable distance from East Dulwich - possibly up north!

Perhaps you?re not getting the point. The event is ?Goodrich Rocks? (which I used to attend being an ex-pupil!) and was held on a weekend. I live on Hillcourt and the noise levels from their speakers was RIDICULOUS. There was absolutely no reason for the speakers to be turned up as loud as they were.

Your smartass, sarcastic comments aren?t amusing green ranger. The noise was inexcusably excessive and seemed to last for hours on end.

Stop being a prick.

Wow well I?m now subjected to abuse for being ?smartass and sarcastic? because you want to object to noise from a fun primary school event on ONE day of the year.

Precisely the sort of petty middle-class, nimby, boring, intolerant attitude that risks East Dulwich being transformed into a dire place to live.

If you can?t get joy out of young children enjoying themselves then take your bitter attitude and move somewhere else ....would be what many people would be thinking.

Calling someone a slang word for a paedophile because they support a one day school fundraiser a bit extreme no?

Let?s not forget all this started because Mr Ronnijade wanted to mark his annoyance at a local

Primary school holding its annual money-raising kids? concert and general fun occasion, at a weekend and finishing by 7pm.

Having been challenged, Mr Ronnijade then resorts to accusing someone sticking up for the rights of young children to have a bit of fun, while raising money for charity, of being motivated by being a paedophile.

What could be the reason behind Mr Ronnijade?s bizarre behaviour?

Sorry Ronnijade but it was you used the word "nonce". Nobody else can change your posts - only you can.

I would suggest that it would be in your best interests for you to apologise to the poster that you insulted or you might find yourself on the wrong end of a writ. Insult me like you have insulted everybody else, but when you're in a hole you should stop digging.

    • Let's hope Planet Aid's current workers aren't forced to make "voluntary" contributions to the cult, then. "Patrick Goteka was working for a charity in Zimbabwe when, in 2006, his employer offered him a big break - the chance to transfer to the US. Goteka, who would be working as a manager in the recycled clothes business, knew the move would mean sacrifices - separating him from his wife and three children. But he says he didn't bank on also having to join a cult-like organisation - the Teachers Group - and surrender a chunk of his monthly salary when he took on his new role." https://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-36940384 https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-36953455
    • Kyjah did my garden at my flat and then I moved house and lost his number and came on here to find it again.    He recently completed installing a new driveway in the front of our house. It was a concreted front garden and he turned it into a double car driveway with paving, exactly what we wanted him to do.    He then did our back garden and has done an amazing job. Laying a new patio, raised beds, seated areas and new lawn. The back we asked him to leave as we plan to get a cabin installed.    I searched Kyjah out as he did such an amazing job at my flat and he was the only person I trusted to do the work at our new house. He’s reliable, hard-working and brings your vision to life. I’ve attached some before and after pics
