Forest Hill Road Market

We?ve had a flyer today saying a new all day market is starting on Forest Hill Road on 20th July. To run every Saturday 9-4pm. But I can?t find anymore information online about exactly where. The flyer isn?t very good and contains bad information like ?nearest train station: Forest Hill Road?. Very intrigued and would love to know exactly where it is going to be and who might be trading.

Well, I?ve gotten to the bottom of it. The market was supposed to be on last weekend but got rained off. Apparently it is definitely on this weekend. Location is not clear but I believe it might be outside the Galleon Hairdressers and Window shops near the Co-Op on Forest Hill Road. I have been told there will only be 3 or 4 stalls to start but if they get support from locals this could grow. So if you are in the area, well worth popping by to support in the hopes of getting a decent little market running each weekend which would be great for the area.

We have just tried some lovely Filipino street food from the market today. Worth a try if you fancy something different for lunch. We had the chicken but the pork also looked delicious.
